Information and Service Economy
Information and Service Economy refers to the creative use of information and technology in management science and financial analysis. The basis for research and education is the strong research culture, coupled with strong cooperation with business and industry.
The rise of business technology has created a need for business graduates who cna work at the interface of business and technology. Several researchers at the Deparment are looking into hot topics such as service networks, behavioral decision making, or management of rapid streams of information.
The research at the Department of Information and Service Economy is broadly divided into three disciplines: Management Science, Information Systems Science, and Logistics. All three disciplines publish regularly in international journals. The Deparment's Study Programmes on BSc, MSc and PhD levels prepare our graduates to work in various managerial or expert positions both in the private and public sector.
